The school is a multi-national, multi-cultural, dynamic school in a beautiful environment, in a low-density area of Dar es Salaam. Our enthusiastic and committed staffs have been preparing our students to reach their highest potentials in every possible way. We believe that each and every child is a gem waiting to be shaped, refined and polished on all their facets.
We provide a conducive environment for the learning process, be it in the classroom, in sports field or beyond the walls of the school. We bring to light those latent talents that our students were unaware of through special presentations, inter-house competitions, extra-curricular activities and community service. We also have a compassionate team of pastoral care shepherds to help our students on the bumpy road of personal development.
Our school is a day school with the possibility of boarding for those girls and boys who wish to get a home-away-home type care with round-the-clock supervision by dedicated boarding staff.
The Secondary school and indeed the entire LIS-Dar es Salaam is a real international school in every sense: international curriculum, multinational teaching staff and a diverse student community. We follow customised British curriculum in the nursery and primary school; Key Stage 3, IGCSE and GCE A-Level curricula in the secondary school section. We are a registered CIE Examination Centre and have had excellent inspection certificates over the years in conducting external examinations.
Thank you for visiting our website. I look forward to welcoming you to LIS Secondary.
The secondary has classes from Year 7 to 13 divided into three main levels:
